How can you save energy in your home, and be better prepared for energy uncertainties like power outages and price hikes? What can we learn from the latest developments in building science? How have technology advances in power transmission, storage and modulation impacted the bottom line for residential solar?
A panel of area experts will speak about energy efficiency and alternative energy for your home in 2013; what works in our area; what has realistic payback; what state and federal incentives exist to help pay for it; and how to get the right evaluation. Town of Somers Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy will introduce the program. This program will be especially relevant for owners of single family to 4 unit residences, including townhouse style condos.
6:00 pm: Energy Gallery. Browse information tables and speak with certified and approved efficiency contractors and solar professionals who work in northern Westchester. This is an opportunity ask them questions about options for your particular home.
6:30 pm: Panel Discussion moderated by the Somers Energy and Environment Committee and Energize NY.
5:30 pm: Energize Application Assistance. Please come prepared with a your electricity account #. It will speed the process if you also have a 12 month utility history. Call Energize if you need help with this.
