Parks & Recreation
Parks and Recreation offers a comprehensive variety of programs and services year-round for residents of all ages. Most sports activities are centered at Reis Park on Route 139 where there are ball fields, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts, a children’s playground, a large picnic pavilion and fitness trails. A summer day camp program for elementary school children
is also held here. The Town Library is also here. The Tot Time
program for pre-school children, the Somers Teen Center and Senior Nutrition Center are located in the nearby Wayne Van Tassel
Park. Koegel Park, on Route 118, is used for passive recreation, such as
hiking and camping by permit. Summer concerts are held in Bailey Park on Route 100 opposite the Town House.
