Somers is a member of the North East Special Recreation Consortium. North East is a Community-based, Therapeutic Recreation Agency that coordinates recreation services for children and adults with varying developmental disabilities. A wide variety of programs and services are offered throughout the year. North East welcomes volunteers, students looking to fulfill community service projects and qualified people looking for part-time employment.
