A local neighbor, father of three, is in the final stage of kidney failure.  Since there is no cure, he only has two options: (1) get a kidney transplant, or (2) spend the rest of his life on dialysis. While transplant is the superior quality-of-life choice, it can be the most challenging with tens of thousands of people waiting ahead of him on the national kidney transplant list.
