Adult Instructional Programs

These classes are offered to residents, age 16 and over, in three, six or seven week increments (winter-spring-fall.) A variety of classes including, tennis, self defense and fitness, etc. are offered. These programs are based on registration, instructor availability and resident requests.

Adult Open Basketball Program

Somers residents, ages 18 and over,  are invited to register for this year's Open Basketball Program. The program will be held at the Somers High School on Wednesdays from 8-9:30 p.m. beginning October 2019 through April 2020.

Women’s Tennis Team

The Somers Women's Tennis Team is looking for players.

Players must be residents 18 years of age and older, USTA rated 3.0 and above and be available weekday mornings from mid-April-June. Home matches are played at Reis Park and away matches at local municipalities. If you are interested in participating, please contact the Recreation office at 232-8441

The Somers Men’s Softball League (SMSL) 

is managed by a volunteer Board under the direction of Somers Department of Parks & Recreation. Their mission is to organize and manage a recreational Softball League for men, with an emphasis on enjoyment of the game and good sportsmanship. The softball season runs from the last week in April to the end of August. Playoffs take place in September.  For residents, 18 years of age or older, who are interested in joining or registering a team for the Men’s Softball League.

Westchester Adventure Boot Camp

Women of all fitness level, sizes and ages are seeing results with Adventure Boot Camp.  You can too! Are you looking for a jump start to your fitness program?  Do you want to lose weight and inches, tone up, or increase your energy?  Whether you are a beginner, an avid fitness enthusiast, or just tired of the same routine, come try this whole new approach to exercise… FUN!  Westchester Adventure Boot Camp is a four week outdoor fitness program designed for women that offers fitness instruction, nutritional counseling and motivational training – packed with fun and energizing activities designed to help you reach your fitness goals. You will need to bring an exercise mat and dumbbells.
