Medical Appointment Transportation

The Town of Somers offers door to door transportation to medical, dental and physical therapy appointments.

This service is available to adults who are unable to drive.

This service is offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please make your appointment between the hours of 10am and 2:15pm. This program is offered on a first come, first served basis, so we urge you to schedule in advance whenever possible.

Update......Do to increased requests for transportation to doctor appointments, we now offer this service on Wednesday as well as Tuesday and Thursday

Van Tassell House       

Door to door transporation is available to Van Tassell House for lunch and activities Monday through Friday.

Amawalk Firehouse

Transportation from your home to the weekly Senior meeting held at The Amawalk Firehouse and back again!

Area Shopping Transportation

Door to door transportation is available to our adult residents who do not drive. Pick up is after 10:00 am. Return trip is after 2:00 pm.

Grocery Stores

Fridays are reserved for Food. Hop aboard and pick up a few things for the weekend. Some of our scheduled stops include Stop & Shop in Somers, Shoprite in Bedford and Turco’s in Yorktown Heights.

Clothing/Gift Shopping

Mondays we head for everything else. Some of our most popular stops include the Jefferson Valley Mall in Yorktown Heights, the Christmas Tree Shop in Danbury and Target in Mount Kisco.

Library Transportation

Transportation is available to the Somers Library every other Tuesday 11:00 am.
